Strengths to Flourish is a new, powerful journey to shine light on our strengths, cultivate wholesome habits and create sustainable wellbeing and performance in our lives.

Programme Overview

This programme brings together the latest science of mindfulness and character strengths into an active learning experience over 8 weeks. Underpinned by cutting-edge research and practical, creative Zen practice, this is a space of exploration, wellbeing and clarity.

Research finds that this course outperforms the world’s most popular mindfulness program in multiple ways, particularly in enhancing workplace wellbeing and work performance.

Programme Structure

You will work with two certified leaders in Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice over eight weeks. Strengths to Flourish includes:

  • 2 hour session x 8 weeks
  • Half-day integration practice retreat with deep relaxation
  • Weekly resources and guided practices to embed your practice
  • Post-course monthly practices to sustain your practice

Active Learning Approach

You’ll apply research-backed methods to develop sustainable wellbeing and performance in an active learning environment, including:

  • teachings on foundational character strengths practice, positive neuroplasticity and self-leadership
  • recognising and exploring your character strengths
  • guided mindfulness and heartfulness practices
  • strategies for facing obstacles and challenges
  • reflections and conversational exercises in breakout groups
  • strengthening your ability to focus and to be a good guardian of your mindset
  • resources for maintaining your personal practice

Who is this programme for?

Strengths to Flourish is for those who want to train in practical ways to live with more clarity and freedom and less anxiety and stress. The core competencies developed during this course are valuable for everyone, but particularly for leaders, managers, coaches and educators.

No previous experience with mindfulness and character strengths work is required.

The roots of Strengths to Flourish

Strengths to Flourish is founded on the ground-breaking Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice programme developed by Ryan M. Niemiec, PsyD, Educational Director of the VIA Institute on Character. Uniquely, this programme has been shown to increase both job satisfaction and work productivity and helps people to tap into their work-related strengths.

The cost of the 8 week programme and resources is €600.-

Programme Timetable

Strengths to Flourish begins on Tuesday 15 February 2022.
Classes run from 19:00 to 21:00 CET, online:

  • Tuesdays 15 and 22 February 2022
  • Tuesdays 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 March 2022
  • Tuesday 5 April 2022
  • Morning practice retreat: Saturday 26 March 2022 from 10:00 to 13:00 CET

What if I miss a session?
You’ll receive notes and guided practices to keep moving forward in your journey.

I can’t make the practice retreat – is that a problem?
That’s fine – the morning retreat is optional. We offer monthly opportunities to explore mindful strengths practice, so we encourage you to join one of our sessions after the course finishes to help you sustain your practice.

How much time does this course take?
In addition to the weekly sessions, most participants explore some practices during the week. Many of the practices meet us just where we are – for example, we can do them when we’re walking, eating or watching a movie. It is less about finding additional time and more about being present in our life.
